my sister Bernadette is refinishing a bureau that came from my father’s Aunt Emma of Philadelphia.  The bureaus is at my sister Chris’ house in Georgia.    What a journey that bureau has had.  It was falling into disrepair sitting in a storage shed in Georgia.  I hope Bernadette can salvage it.

    i looked up the indentured servent papers in the historic album on page 5 & six. it looks like henry’s last name is strackbin from hamburg and the other paper is for maria ristein or rislein,also from hamburg. these papers are from 1796. by 1801 per the ferry boat paper clipping thye were using strockbine.
